What is genuinely useful to send
A portal rule that is out of date or wrong. This is the most valuable message this site can receive. The photograph requirements here were each read from the authority that set them, but portals revise their rules and almost never announce it. If you have been rejected for something our page says is fine — or accepted with something it says is not — please tell us, and include the portal and what it told you.
A tool that got your file wrong. What you dropped in, what you expected, and what you got. If a check said your photo would be rejected and the portal accepted it, that is a bug worth knowing about, and so is the reverse.
A portal we do not cover. If you can point at the page where the authority itself publishes its requirements, that is most of the work. ⛔ We will not add a specification sourced from a photo vendor, however widely it is repeated — that is how the wrong numbers spread in the first place.
What we cannot help with
We cannot tell you whether your application will be approved, and we are not able to give immigration advice. The tools check what is measurable in a file; the decision belongs to the authority you are applying to, and their page is the one to read.
About your files
Please do not attach your passport photograph or identity documents to an email. We do not need them, and email is not a good place for them.
Describing the problem — the pixel size, the file size, the portal and the message you were shown — is more useful anyway, and it keeps your documents where they belong, which is with you.
